Vision 2030 Informational Meeting: Sunday, June 22, at 11:30am in the sanctuary. These next steps follow the strong directive given at our last voters’ meeting to secure off-campus classroom space and begin expanding school capacity and staffing for the 2026–2027 school year. This session will present the two proposed governance models for Mount Olive Lutheran School [a Joint Operating Agreement or the formation of a new 501(c)(3) entity] and explain the responsibilities of the proposed Governance Implementation Committee. Also, this session will provide an overview of the ballot that will be presented at the June 29 voters’ meeting.
Church Potluck with Kenya Mission Presentation: Sunday, June 22, following the Vision 2030 presentation. Rev. David Ombogo and Rev. Gwachi Evans, two pastors from our sister church in Kenya [the Evangelical Lutheran Diocese Kenya (ELDK)], will be presenting information about their church body.
Annual Voters’ Meeting: Sunday, June 29, at 11:30am in the sanctuary. Things to be considered: 1) Approval of the 2025-26 Vision/Traction Organizer (VTO); 2) Approval of the business administrator position; 3) Selection of a governance model for the school to pursue in partnership with Peace Lutheran Church; and 4) Authorization of a Governance Implementation Committee to begin research and draft a final recommendation regarding the school to our congregation. For all voting members, this is a major milestone in our school’s history. Please plan to attend and stay informed as we prayerfully consider the future of our school ministry. Printed materials regarding the school were emailed to congregational members; paper copies are available on the narthex table.
Year of Jubilee: Final Push! We give thanks to God that our $250,000 goal for 2023–2024 was met! Now, as we near June 30, we face a final challenge: we’re $88,000 short of our 2024–2025 goal. Please prayerfully consider a one-time gift to help us close the gap. Your support is especially critical as we contemplate future changes in our school’s governance and mission. Let’s finish strong—together, for the future of our kids, grandkids, and God’s Kingdom!
