Flowers on the altar for Sunday, August 30,are given to God’s glory by Michael and Karissa Zibrowski.

Please note that the time for Holy Communion on Sunday, August 30, has been moved to 9:45 am.

People We Are Praying For (We included prayers for these individuals in our recent church services)
Gary Burmeister, Scott Trautman, Gretchen Olsen, Jeanette Koberg, Marsha Natvig, Katie Tweit, Lorena Merseth, Pastor Glenn Smith, Pastor Dan Basel and all who are battling cancer. Be also with Daniel Neubauer, Asher Graham, Pastor Sam Johnson, and all our loved ones and their families facing illness, infirmity, and uncertain futures. Be with Diane Gullixson’s mother Betty Falkenberg as she suffered a broken arm after a fall and grant her swift healing. Grant all of these loved ones strength of faith, peace in physical weakness, and, according to Your gracious will, restored health and recovery.

All college students returning to our community for this coming academic year, as well as our members who are beginning their school year at other universities and colleges: grant them all wisdom in their studies, keep them steadfast in the faith, and bless this time of education that they may enjoy future lives of success and fruitfulness.

For our own grade school students, teachers, and staff at Cornerstone Lutheran School as they begin a new school year: bless their classrooms with peace, protect them in body and soul, and grant that our children may grow daily in the knowledge and grace of Jesus. We pray that you bless our new teachers and staff—especially Mr. Nate Olmanson, Mrs. Sarah Kohls, and our Principal Thomas Hunter—be with these called workers and bless their work among us and for our children. For those loved ones of our church family who are distant and have been absent, those who have been led astray by false teaching, or who are caught up in sin: bring them back to your presence, O Lord, and renew in all of us a heart of genuine repentance and steadfast faith.
