Mt. Olive Band Students serve an important part of the school culture, performing several public concerts and equipping them with the life-long skills to serve future school music programs and beautifying church services. For some families, the cost of an instrument, supplies, and band tuition fees might prevent access to this important activity. Would you consider donating to the Mount Olive School Band Tuition Support Fund? You can make a gift in the following ways:
Online:
--Go HERE, or mtolivelutheran.org and then select the Online Giving tab. Choose the "Other" option and make your gift securely using a credit card or banking information. Please specify where you would like your donation to go in the note box by putting "Mt. Olive School Band Tuition Support Fund.“
In Person or Mail:
--please make checks payable to Mount Olive Lutheran Church and School and put in the memo line "Mount Olive School Band Tuition Support Fund.”
--mail your check to Mount Olive Lutheran Church and School, 1123 Marsh St., Mankato, MN 56001, or
--bring your check to the church/school office
Thank you in advance for helping the Mount Olive School Band!
Traveling this summer? As you travel for vacation or work, it is good to spend time hearing and learning God’s Word. Sometimes, distance, time or other factors make it difficult to attend a Divine Service at a Lutheran church of our fellowship. Last year, the ELS’s Worship Committee assembled a “Summer Worship for Travelers” booklet designed for worship in any setting. Copies are available on the narthex table.
"Midsummer With Matthew" Reading Plan: Several ELS Pastors (including Pr. Ulrich) are collaborating to produce a summer devotional series on the book of Matthew. Each day, from Memorial Day to Labor Day, you are invited to watch the introductory devotional video that is shared on our church Facebook page, or you can pick up a "Midsummer With Matthew" weekly devotional booklet to read before opening your own Bibles to read the selection of verses from Matthew. Devotional booklets for the weeks of June 30-July 5 and July 6-12 are on the narthex table.
Neighbors to the Nations: Bethany International invites you to join our outreach program, Neighbors to the Nations! Welcome our international students to Mankato with simple acts of hospitality: offer a ride, share a meal, or invite them to a church event. Help them feel at home in our community and churches. Interested? Contact Rachel Kerkow, International Student Coordinator, at 512-767-0975 or rachel.kerkow@blc.edu. You can also sign up at this link: Neighbors to the Nations.
