The family and friends of John Bungum, whose funeral was held on Monday, July 20th, and the family and friends of George Natvig, the brother of Hal Natvig, whose passed away July 17th. Gifts To The “Year of Jubilee” Campaign will continue to be accepted and appreciated while the Stewardship and Budget & Finance Committees continue to develop a future campaign to benefit our church. Ice Cream Social: at Trinity Lutheran Church, Nicollet on Wednesday, July 29 from 4:30pm-7pm. Please join us for an evening of food and fellowship. We are serving BBQs, egg salad and ham sandwiches, baked beans, chips, pie, desserts, ice cream and root beer floats. The free will donations will go towards repairing our church bell. Everyone is welcome.

Corn Feed: Trinity Smiths Mill Lutheran Church is holding its annual Corn Feed on Wednesday, July 29, beginning at 5pm and concluding at 7pm. Come enjoy fellowship while listening to music, eating sweet corn, sloppy joes, hot dogs and all the fixin’s! A free-will offering will be collected that will go towards a new church sign. New 2 You Volunteers Needed on Saturday, August 1. If you can help, a sign-up sheet is on the table in the narthex, or you can call New 2 You at 507-385-1455. There are morning and afternoon shifts available, which run from 9:45am – 12:30pm and 12:30pm – 3:00pm. Main duties include ringing up sales on the cash register and bagging customer purchases. This is a great opportunity for MVL students to get some volunteer experience during the summer months. New 2 You Family Thrift Store provides 75% of its quarterly profits to MVL to help fund student busing. Your willingness to help is greatly appreciated!

ELS Installation Service: All congregation members are invited to attend the Installation Service of the ELS President and Vice President on Wednesday, August 5 at 6:30 pm in Trinity Chapel on the campus of Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato, Minnesota. A cake reception will follow in the BLC Dining Center

Parents of Preschoolers: Jesus’ Lambs at Peace Preschool invites you to enroll your child for the 2026-27 school year. Their Back-To-School Picnic is Tuesday, August 25, from 6-8 pm. The Sioux Trails Chapter of the American Guild of Organists continues its Summer Noontime Organ Recitals at 12:10pm on Tuesdays in Mankato. Organists Elisabeth Urtel (7/28), John Baumann (8/4) and Christine Schulz (8/11) perform at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 720 S. 2nd Street. Each recital is free. Mount Olive Social Hall Chair Drive: So far, $2501.50 has been raised! We are looking to raise a total of $3300.00 by the start of our Bible Study season for our Social Hall. Sponsor a more comfortable chair for our Bible Study Groups for $25. Drop off your donations in the church office, or please list “chairs” on your offering envelope or on the check memo line.
