The new addition was opened between services on May 12 for those who wished to take a look. Even
with just the steel structures, the shapes and sizes of the new spaces can now be seen. Since that time
the electrical, plumbing, and HVAC have been roughed in. Following their inspection and approval
drywall and taping can begin which will further define the spaces.
Installation of the exterior limestone is proceeding nicely and will continue in the coming days as
Looking ahead, June 30 will be our first Sunday service in the gymnasium while the sanctuary receives
its required sprinkler system, fresh paint, and the floors cleaned and sealed. Approximately 25-30 volunteers will be
needed each night June 25, 26, and 27 to accomplish moving everything out of the sanctuary as well as
setting up the gymnasium for services. A detailed schedule and plan will be included in the June Olive
Press as well as the Sunday bulletins in June. Please plan to be involved in the excitement as we move
ahead in this project! The goal is to be back in the sanctuary for worship by July 28.
